Pollina Street Theater Festival: two days of shows featuring acrobats and clowns.

#Palermo
Acrobats, jugglers, tightrope walkers, clowns, circus artists, and musicians will perform for two days in the streets and squares of one of the most beautiful and picturesque medieval villages in Sicily.
On Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of August, the fourteenth edition of the Valdemone International Street Theater, New Circus, and Music Festival will return with a variety of new features. The festival is sponsored by the municipality of Pollina and Poste Italiane, and organized by the Kiklos association. This year, in collaboration with Puntoeacapo Concerti, Valdemone presents a pre-festival event, the first edition of the “Sant’Elia Art Festival – Music & Buskers”.

A day devoted to music and street artists will take place on Thursday 10th August, in the small seaside town. Starting from 7 pm, various performances will take place. For the days of Friday 25th and Saturday 26th August, four locations have been chosen for the shows: Piazza San Giuliano, Piazza Duomo, Piazza San Pietro, and the Teatro Pietrarosa. From 5:30 pm, the various companies will alternate in the squares, leading the audience to the Teatro Pietrarosa where they can enjoy the evening performances, followed by concerts and music in the wonderful amphitheater that offers panoramic views of the town, including the Square Tower and the remains of the medieval castle.

On Friday 25th at 10 pm, the Teatro Pietrarosa will host a great evening with “Cabaret Pagliacce”, in collaboration with Network Pagliacce, followed by the lively and engaging live music of the duo “Wunder Tandem”, pioneers of disco-punk and drum’n’squeeze with explosive and unpredictable mashups. On Saturday 26th at 10 pm, the Spanish company “Cia Rauxa” will perform their show “La crisis de la imaginacion”: a perfect blend of contemporary circus, dance, and puppet theater that will transport the audience into a dreamlike and fascinating world. The music will continue with “Wunder Tandem”.
