Paternò: 17-year-old critically injured in car-scooter collision

A seventeen-year-old boy was seriously injured in a collision between a car and a scooter on a provincial road in Paternò, Sicily. The impact was head-on, causing the boy to be thrown from the scooter and onto the pavement. First aid was provided by passing motorists, and emergency services arrived on the scene, transferring the minor to the hospital by helicopter due to the severity of his injuries. The area was closed to traffic, and the police are investigating the incident. In a separate incident in Biancavilla, two men were injured in a collision between a Fiat Doblò and a Fiat Panda. They were also taken to the hospital for treatment.
