Palermo’s Rap to hire 106 ecological operators, Lagalla calls for meeting with the Municipality
The Mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, announced that “the Board of Directors of Rap has approved, in today’s meeting, the 2023 financial statements which show a loss of over 9 million euros, exceeding the value of the share capital. In light of this approval – he added, the municipal administration will responsibly initiate, without delay, the procedures related to the reconstitution within the limits of the law (article 2447 of the civil code).”
“Simultaneously – the mayor continued -, the company has announced that it will proceed with the hiring, as envisaged by a previous decision of the municipal council, of 106 new workers. We will activate the recruitment on a fixed-term basis in the coming weeks. It is obvious that this process will need to be discussed with the shareholder beforehand. Therefore, any hiring procedure and related formalization can only be initiated following the regular meeting between the Municipality and Rap, already scheduled for the beginning of next week.”
