Palermo, three-year plan for public works approved

The Palermo city council tonight approved the three-year public works plan with 26 votes in favor, 2 abstentions and none against. The go-ahead for the Plan was however marked by the controversy related to the rejection of the Tram line A, thanks to an amendment signed by the directors Ugo Forello and Giulia Argiroffi which was approved with 21 favorable votes , 9 against and 3 abstentions. The elimination of the line that should have crossed the city from the central station to via Croce Rossa will lead to the drafting of a new project, with the risk of losing the funding already obtained for the construction of the tram relating not only to line A but also to other.
