Palermo, the historic boss of Porta Nuova Francesco Mulè released from prison

The review court released Francesco Mulè, 76, known as “Zu Francu”, the historic Palermo boss of Porta Nuova arrested in the latest anti-mafia operation by the carabinieri. The judges accepted the appeal presented by the defendant’s lawyers, Giovanni Castronovo and Marco Clementi. During the investigations, which revealed the dealings of the clan and the extortions made to traders and entrepreneurs, it emerged that the mafia boss was trying to protect his son Massimo.

“You have to talk to me… you have to leave him to my son… they arrest me and send me to house arrest…”, he said to those who wanted to establish a direct relationship with their son.
