It seemed like everything was done, but the transfer of the Chilean Diego Valencia to Palermo fell through. The reasons are top secret, but word has it that the striker did not pass the thorough medical examinations due to an old physical problem that Palermo subjected him to.

As a result, Palermo decided to cancel the agreement with Salernitana, which understandably did not take it well. Palermo will now keep Soleri, who can be considered off the market (he was close to Brescia), and number 27 will still be Brunori’s backup.

As for other negotiations, they continue to pursue Morutan, but Galatasaray continues to set the bar high: they are demanding 5.5 million for the Romanian, a sum impossible for anyone in Serie B.

However, Palermo is not giving up and could be working on a loan deal with a right of redemption.
