Palermo paralyzed by parishioners immediately after robbery

parish priest of the church of Sant’Antonino, in Palermo, is calling on the mayor and the prefect of the city to take a walk around the area near the central station and in front of their church in the late afternoon. This comes after a student was recently mugged near the church and had his phone stolen. Two parishioners came to the student’s aid, managing to apprehend the thief and convince him to return the stolen phone. However, they were unable to get through to the emergency services when they called. The priest is urging local authorities to address the safety concerns in the area, as walking around at night can be dangerous due to poor lighting.
