Palermo Municipality provides update on pool renovations (68 characters)

In Palermo, activities are ongoing to complete the construction of the stand and facilities for the open-air municipal swimming pool, as well as to carry out structural and system recovery and update the facility to comply with Coni regulations for the covered municipal swimming pool. These projects are funded by Pnrr funds. The integrated tender (including design and construction) for the open-air pool project (called cluster 1) began urgently on September 4th, with completion expected in January 2026 due to a reduction in planned construction days. Similarly, on September 27th, 2023, the urgent integrated tender (including final design, construction, and works) for the structural and system recovery of the covered municipal pool (cluster 2) also started, with completion expected in April 2025. The city aims to provide suitable and accessible facilities to the public. The administration is committed to adhering to project timelines and limiting any disruptions caused by construction activities on the city’s territory and sports activities, with the cooperation of the contracted companies.
