Shouting and fighting broke out in Piazzale Giacomo Ciaccio Montalto in the Mezzomonreale area of Palermo, shortly after midnight. The residents of the area alerted the police (112) about a brawl. The carabinieri of the mobile unit intervened on the scene and found six individuals on the street, all men, along with a 14-year-old boy. The individuals were aged 40, 36, 31, 22, and 20 years old.

Five of them were reported in a state of freedom for participating in the brawl, while one of them, who was found in possession of a knife, was reported for illegal possession of weapons. Some of the individuals involved in the fight are related to each other. Three of them sought medical treatment for minor injuries. The reason that triggered the brawl in the middle of the night is unclear.
