Palermo, contracts of 699 employees at the Civil Hospital extended.

This decision was made by the extraordinary commissioner Walter Messina before he was appointed as the general director on June 21st. A total of 699 employees have had their contracts extended, including 70 medical directors, 384 healthcare workers (such as nurses and technicians), 211 social healthcare workers, 14 administrative staff on flexible contracts, and 20 healthcare professionals on freelance contracts. Messina highlighted the positive dialogue and cooperation between all parties involved in managing the services, as well as the responsible decision-making in extending the contracts while waiting for the completion of the stabilization procedures.
