The Mangia e Bevi pub in Palermo has been seized by the Commissioner of Liberty and accused of operating without the necessary permits. It also allegedly placed tables and chairs on the sidewalk without authorization. The pub, known for its karaoke nights, was frequented by fans of neomeolodic music but not welcomed by the residents. The police, in collaboration with the municipal police and health authorities, conducted inspections and found numerous violations, resulting in penalties totaling 11,000 euros. The pub was operating without a proper license for serving food and beverages and occupying public space. The manager was denounced for illegally profiting from the use of public property. In addition, the pub violated safety and hygiene regulations. It was also discovered that the premises had been rented under fake contracts.
