Palermo Classica Winter opens to 2023 at the Crociferi with the Jacobs-De Grolée duo

There Palermo Classical Winter Season say goodbye to 2023 with two world-renowned artists: Lisa Jacobs on the violin and Antoine de Grolee on the piano. They will perform on Wednesday January 4th at 9 pm, in the auditorium San Mattia ai Crociferi in via Torremuzza.

The Palermo Classica Festival is in its seventh year thanks to the presence of prominent artists on the bill. Wednesday 4 January is the second duo recital for violin and piano. The evening will be in Beethoven, Prokofiev, Brahms, Wienawski and Locatelli.

Lisa Jacobs is known for her impassioned performances, exciting programs, and communicative skills on stage. At the age of 17, she Lisa made her debut with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra under the baton of Riccardo Chailly. Since then she has performed throughout the world, both as a soloist with renowned orchestras and conductors, and as a recital and lively chamber musician.

In a subtle encounter between the French and Slavic piano traditions, Antoine de Grolée is one of the winners of the Long-Thibaud Competition and finalist of the Chopin Competition in Warsaw. He has played in several important halls such as the Salle Gaveau and in the Salle Cortot in Paris, in the Salle Molière in Lyon, St -Pierre-des-Cuisines in Toulouse and, internationally, in the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, in the Theater in Rome, at the “Diverse Trains” festival in Tirana and at the Prince of Asturias Festival in Spain, as well as in Russia, Austria, Argentina.
