Palermo mourns the death of Benny Piazza, or better known as the "panellaro" of the Auditor. The 33-year-old died yesterday from a respiratory problem.
Benny was well known not only for the inhabitants of the neighborhood but for many Palermitans who went to via Bernini to the seller of panelle and crocché.
The 33-year-old had "inherited" the job from his dad and earlier from his grandfather. Many manifestations of condolence for Benny.
On Facebook's "Loving Hearer" profile there is a photo of the young man with a dedication: "Do you remember this boy selling bread and panelle in front of the Lidl to the Auditor he died of a respiratory problem. Clean educated an honest worker Peace to His Soul ".
