Palermo: 8 residents in Capo neighborhood reported for electricity theft

The carabinieri of the Palermo Centro station and the operational intervention company of the XII Sicilia regiment, together with technicians from Enel, carried out an extraordinary control service to combat electricity theft. The military reported eight people, all residing in the Capo district. Their homes, lacking a supply contract for the electrical service, would have been illegally connected to the network, thus totally canceling the expenditure of the utility. All the suspects, in addition to being called to pay the estimated consumption, will answer for aggravated theft, with a penalty of 2 to 6 years in prison in case of conviction.
