Palermo, 70-year-old saved before car caught fire after accident

This morning, a 70-year-old man crashed his Alfa Romeo 156 into a lamppost on via Messina Montagne in Palermo. The man sustained multiple injuries and was unable to exit the vehicle as it risked catching fire. A police officer was the first to assist and call for help, followed by his colleagues, emergency medical services, and municipal police. The man was transported to Policlinico Hospital for evaluation and treatment. His relatives expressed gratitude to the responding police officer.
