The State Police has identified and arrested the alleged perpetrator of a robbery of a passerby last October and the theft inside the church of Sant’Antonino on November 13. In both cases, timely investigations led to the acquisition of crucial evidence for the successful outcome of the investigations. The suspect, a man from Palermo, was arrested and placed in custody for the robbery, in which the victim was attacked and robbed of their belongings. The police were able to identify the suspect through surveillance camera footage and the victim’s description. The same man is also believed to be responsible for another theft inside the church of Sant’Antonino. The police were able to narrow down the suspect through the acquisition of surveillance footage and their knowledge of the area. The man, already in custody for robbery, has now been investigated for aggravated theft.
