Rosario Di Marco and Gianfranco Gentile, respectively councilor and president of the Council at the Municipality of Pettineo, in the province of Messina, have formalized, with a note addressed to the responsible for the Economic-Financial area Rosario Barberi Frandanisa and to the mayor of Pettineo Domenico Ruffino, the renunciation of the allowance due to them for the remaining months of 2024.
The amounts resulting from the renunciation of councilor Di Marco will be used, at his indication, for the purchase of a defibrillator to be destined to the secondary school Luigi Pirandello in Pettineo, which is currently lacking one, while the amounts resulting from the President of the Council Gentile’s uncollected allowance will be destined to the economy of the municipality.
“We are convinced – declare Di Marco and Gentile, both belonging to Christian Democracy – that in a delicate historical moment like the current one in which there is an economic crisis affecting all social strata of the country, it is necessary to work, each according to their own competences, in order to realize concrete initiatives aimed at the common good”.
