324 migrants landed in Lampedusa after the 9 boats they were traveling on were rescued during the night by the Coast Guard patrol boats. Yesterday, on the island, after 23 arrivals, 940 people had arrived. On the rescued carts during the night, there were a minimum of 17 and a maximum of 51 people from Cameroon, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Benin, Togo, Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia, and Ivory Coast. According to the rescued individuals, eight of the nine boats departed from Tunisia (seven from Sfax and one from Mahdia) and one from Sabratah in Libya. After initial health checks, they were all brought to the contrada Imbriacola hotspot.
