New Centre for Unaccompanied Minors established in Castelvetrano to support migrants

A reception center for unaccompanied minor immigrants has been set up in Castelvetrano, Italy. It is managed by the local committee of the Red Cross, in partnership with the national emergency structure for migrants led by Prefect Valerio Valenti. The center is located in a property confiscated from the mafia, now belonging to the town and entrusted to the Red Cross. The facility, situated in Viale Autonomia Siciliana, has almost 250 beds and is equipped with services provided by the ministry. The minors stay for a few days before being transferred to other reception facilities.
