Never before in over two hundred years has Palermo been so hot: a new all-time high of 46.4 degrees has been reached.

New record for the highest temperatures in Palermo, where today reached 46.4 degrees Celsius. Nicola Cadeddu, director of the astronomical observatory, confirmed this with a Facebook post. This value represents the highest ever recorded since data collection began in 1791. The previous record dates back to 1999 and was 44.8 degrees Celsius.
Attention, as it could be surpassed soon, as after a brief drop, the station is again at +46 degrees Celsius, therefore there could already be a new exceptional measurement this afternoon.
Updating in progress.
