Naufragio di Selinunte: 35 migrants found between Menfi and Castelvetrano.

The scientific police agents boarded the Tunisian boat that had shipwrecked on the Selinunte coast to retrieve the rudder. With the support of the fire brigade, they cut off the rudder in the control room and seized it for investigation, searching for any fingerprints of the boat’s operator. This morning, the firefighters discovered 5 cans of gasoline and a gas cylinder inside the vessel. So far, 35 migrants who managed to reach the beach between Marinella di Selinunte and Porto Palo di Menfi have been apprehended, while about 20 are still missing. The survivors reported that there were 60 people on board, including men, women, and children, and they departed from Mahdia, Tunisia on Thursday morning.
