The journalist Attilio Megna, historic editor of the Giornale di Sicilia, has passed away at the age of 78. Born in Agrigento on May 7, 1946, he was known for his professional curiosity and passion for Sicilian amateur football until 2002. Despite a stroke in 2002 that profoundly changed his life, he remained strong-willed and had a strong memory. He maintained relationships with colleagues and lived his last years with a light-hearted spirit. In 2012, the Order of Journalists of Sicily honored him with a plaque. In recent times, old age had weakened him, and he passed away surrounded by his wife and daughters. The funeral will be held today at 10:30 in the church of Santa Caterina da Siena in Palermo.
