Morgantina, success for Capossela at BarbablùFest
#Enna
Vinicio Capossela achieved success yesterday evening as he opened the third edition of the BarbablùFest in the archaeological area of Morgantina. The singer-songwriter brought an improvised setlist to the stage, including some songs from his latest album, “Tredici canzoni urgenti,” as well as old hits like “Che coss’è l’amor” and “Il ballo di San Vito.” He engaged the audience in dancing and singing along, filling the steps of the ancient amphitheater.
The BarbablùFest, a festival created in 2021 from the idea of Pietrangelo Buttafuoco and artistically directed by Giuseppe Dipasquale, with organization and production by Terzo Millennio, will run until August 5th.
Upcoming performances include “Il Derviscio di Bukhara” on Tuesday, July 25th, a show by Alberto Samonà that explores the magic of the East and Asia through words, music, and Sufi dances; “Sikania” by Giovanni Mazzarino on Wednesday, July 26th; “Alice canta Battiato” on Saturday, July 29th; “In Verrem – Le Verrine di Marco Tullio Cicerone” on Thursday, August 3rd, a theater workshop with high school students from the province of Enna; “Troppu trafficu ppi nenti” on Friday, August 4th, a show by Giuseppe Dipasquale based on a text co-written with Andrea Camilleri. The festival will conclude on Saturday, August 5th, with a performance by Stefano Bollani, “Piano Solo.”
