Modica entrepreneur dies in a road accident in Tuscany

A 47-year-old businessman named Salvatore Barone from Modica died in a car accident in Figline Incisa, Tuscany. Barone was driving his Land Rover on the A1 motorway, heading north between Incisa Reggello and Florence south, when his car collided head-on with a van from a transportation and rental company in Montecatini Terme. The van, driven by Saverio Picerno, 73 years old from Prato, suddenly changed lanes, resulting in the fatal collision. Both Barone and Picerno died on the spot, while the two other people in the van were injured. The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the lane change. Barone, who had been living in Tuscany for several years, was known for his successful pool business. Friends and clients remembered him for his professionalism and generosity.
