Miss Italia prefinals: Stefania di Trapani and Federica di Messina

Messinese Federica Nolla and Trapanese Stefania Evangelista are the two new national pre-finalists for Miss Italy 2023. They qualified for the national phase after the regional competition in Belpasso, Catania: respectively, Miss Cinema Dr. Kleein Sicilia and Miss Sorriso. The event was organized by Salvo Consiglio, the regional promoter for Miss Italy in Sicily, and hosted by Antonello Consiglio, the artistic director, along with the previous two Miss Sicily winners, Giada Rumè and Anita Lucenti. Both contestants share a common anecdote: their sisters influenced their decision to participate in the pageant. Federica’s sister participated in the 2021 edition and reached the final, while Stefania’s sister enrolled her for her first beauty contest. Federica, who has a passion for languages and dreams of becoming a flight attendant or entering the fashion world, will turn 18 on September 20. Stefania, a 26-year-old secretary at a dental clinic and a fashion design student, aspires to become an actress. Both contestants were surprised and ecstatic when they were announced as winners in Belpasso. Federica’s victory was especially emotional because she always came in second place before. Stefania sees her title as Miss Sorriso (Miss Smile) as a perfect fit for her personality. If she becomes a finalist, she plans to dedicate her achievement to her 85-year-old grandmother, who recently had a stroke but remains a significant influence in her life.
