Yesterday evening around midnight, the Carabinieri intervened in a house in Milena, in the province of Caltanissetta, where the presence of a woman with a stab wound in her abdomen had been reported.
By the time the police arrived, the woman had already been transported by a 118 ambulance to the hospital in Agrigento, where she underwent surgery and was admitted. Her life is not in danger.
According to the reconstruction provided by the Carabinieri, after questioning everyone present, the woman, a thirty-year-old, would have injured herself during a heated argument.
Apparently, after a heated discussion with her 37-year-old partner’s family, the woman grabbed a kitchen knife and caused the wound to her abdomen herself. The two, who live in the province of Milan, were on vacation with his parents.
