For a canceled flight, a man and a woman from Milan received a €500 compensation. The incident concerns the cancellation of the Catania Milan flight on June 11, 2023 by the airline Easyjet, which notified the passengers of the canceled flight at short notice. The issue was addressed by the Peace Judge of Catania, who, a few days ago, ruled that Easyjet must make a payment of €500 to the two passengers.

“The Peace Judge of Catania – commented by ItalyRimborso, which provided support to the passengers – applied the European Regulation 261/2004, which protects air passengers even in cases of canceled flights, with passengers being able to request monetary compensation. In this case, there were no circumstances of strikes or adverse weather conditions.”
