Less than a month after the shipwreck of Marinella di Selinunte in which 6 migrants died, the boat that ran aground in front of the Paradise Beach hotel is no longer there. The sea and currents destroyed it completely, leaving only the engine where the boat ran aground. The memory of the journey that about 60 migrants started from the Tunisian coast and ended just a few meters from the beautiful coast of the Belìce River Nature Reserve has been erased by the sea. Six migrants did not survive, while others managed to reach the beach. Some were apprehended in Porto Palo di Menfi, others in Castelvetrano. A small group of underage migrants sought help from communities in Castelvetrano after wandering for days between Selinunte and Campobello. The boat was under the seizure of the judicial authority.
