Michele Placido in Agrigento for a fiction about Rosario Livatino: “I’ll stay here a year”

Michele Placido in Agrigento for a fiction about Rosario Livatino:

Michele Placido, actor and director is in Agrigento. He took part in the beatification ceremony of Judge Rosario Livatino and will be back on TV with a new fiction about Judge “Ragazzino” from Canicattì. Placid met the mayor of Agrigento, Franco Miccichè, to whom he presented the television project: “I’ll do some research, I’ll stay here and work on the fiction for about a year. The set will be Agrigento, because this is where I grew up culturally thanks to Pirandello. Next to a giant of culture, a giant of the judiciary enters and Agrigento must take on a great responsibility, that of a Sicilian province that must make a great leap in quality. I have a beautiful assignment, it gives me enthusiasm and I feel honored to be able to make a television series on the extraordinary figure of Rosario Livatino, an exceptional figure who set an example on what it means to be a magistrate in those times that were memorable for history of the mafia ”declares Michele Placido. The Favarese director Toni Trupia will also be among the screenwriters in the project, which will be produced by Rai Fiction.
