Messina, drugs in the ambulance: an arrest

The financiers of the provincial command of Messina have seized about 30 kilos of marijuana from the jetties of the ferries that connect Sicily to Calabria. The drug was hidden on board an ambulance, identified during the checks carried out on the vehicles that disembark from the ferries coming from Villa San Giovanni. The nose of the antidrogaáGhimly dog ​​turned out to be fundamental, allowing him to discover over 50 packages of marijuana in the rescue vehicle, for a total of about 30 kg.

The drug, if placed on the market, could have yielded around 300,000 euros. The ambulance driver, a 40-year-old from Messina, whose family unit receives citizenship income, was arrested for drug trafficking and subsequently placed in custody in prison, awaiting trial, at the disposal of the Authority court of Messina. Same fate for the accomplice of the traffic, a 46-year-old, also from Messina, with a criminal record, earner of citizenship income. Cash, cell phones and a blanking gun without a red cap seized.
