‘Me and Freddie’ at Cinestars for World AIDS Day

(ANSA) – CATANIA, NOVEMBER 24 – For the World Aids Day, on December 1, all the cinemas of the Cinestar chain will screen the film “Me and Freddie. A kind of magic”, with Alessandro Haber, Stella Egypt, Gabriele Vitale and Luca Villaggio. Access, that day, will be free in Catania, Brescia, Mantua, Vicenza, Sondrio, Bergamo and Varese Presented for the first time in the Senate, with the Higher Institute of Health, the film turns the spotlight on the entire context of the HIV, dealing with issues such as bullying, homophobia, the misuse of social networks and blood donation. The medium-length film, sponsored by the Regional Health Department of the Sicilian Region and by the Anci, is directed by the journalist and writer Francesco Santocono and is based on his homonymous novel. Winner of the 2021 “Troisi Award” for best direction and other international awards, the film recently received the “Best Insanitas” award for the best project in the field of health communication in Sicily.
