The State Police arrested a 57-year-old man, R.A., from Mazara del Vallo, at Vincenzo Florio airport in Trapani-Birgi on a warrant from the Bologna General Prosecutor’s Office dating back to 2015. Having emigrated to Germany several years ago, he is accused of thefts and robberies in various locations in Italy and had managed to evade arrest even after a series of convictions. Returning to Sicily to visit relatives, the border police officers took him to prison in Trapani where, in addition to other pending sentences, he has already begun serving the first 8 months of his sentence.
