Mazara in mourning, aneurysm kills deputy head of the coast guard at 33

Mazara del Vallo is in mourning for the sudden death of Antonino Giacalone, 33, deputy head of the Coast Guard, serving on the island of Ponza.

Nino, as he was called, by those who knew him was struck by a brain aneurysm.
The funeral will be held today, 8 August 2022, at the Cathedral Basilica of Mazara del Vallo.

The sub-boss Giacalone is remembered in these hours on social media by many people, as a “polite and respectful” boy, a “good giant” much appreciated by his work colleagues.
