A massive fire broke out in the Ippari Valley in Vittoria, Ragusa province. The flames quickly spread and posed a threat to the nearby Guzzardi hospital. Firefighters and forestry officials rushed to the scene, along with two helicopters that made several drops to contain the fire. Fortunately, there was no need to evacuate the hospital, but the firefighting operation is still ongoing.
