Marzamemi hero at 21: saves 10 people on overturned double mattress.
At least ten people, including two young children, were at risk of drowning at Morghella beach in Siracusa, Italy. They were on an inflatable double mattress that suddenly flipped over, leaving them stranded far from shore. Fortunately, a 21-year-old named Salvatore Lo Monaco noticed their distress and swiftly came to their rescue. Despite the presence of authorities and medical personnel on the beach, Salvatore was the one who provided the necessary equipment and safely brought the children and adults back to shore. The group was subsequently transported to a hospital in Avola for further examination, but thankfully, no one suffered any serious injuries. The children, in particular, owe their safety to the heroic actions of Salvatore.
