Marsala – Private violence attempted in competition, four on trial

Four Marshals ended up on trial on charges of attempted private violence in competition, compounded by the use of a firearm. The 52-year-old Girolamo Marino would have been threatened (one of them with a pistol in hand) by ordering him to "leave Marsala within twenty-four hours" in order not to let him sell his parents' home to others, inherited together with his brother Filippo Marino.

Girolamo Marino had returned to Marsala after a period spent in Switzerland for work reasons. The blackmail, which did not go through anyway, would have been committed within the family. In fact, the 43-year-old Giuseppe Aleci, brother of Giulia Aleci, 39 years old, wife of Filippo Marino, brother of the alleged victim, would have contested the firearm against Marino.
