Marsala: Palazzo di Giustizia main entrance reopened after completion of works

The extraordinary maintenance works on the entrance arch have been completed, and the main entrance of the new Palace of Justice in Marsala has been reopened. The works were commissioned by the Court, with a total cost of nearly 110 thousand euros, based on an auction of approximately 74 thousand euros.
Opened less than five years ago (on October 9, 2019), in the presence of the then Minister of Justice Alfonso Bonafede, for some months the panels on the internal part of the front of the entrance arch appeared deformed and damaged, giving the impression that they could fall on those passing underneath when the wind blew strongly. For this reason, on December 21, the Court of Marsala awarded, through direct assignment, the extraordinary maintenance works of the “external pedestrian access portico”. The works started on May 13 and were carried out over a period of about three weeks. For safety reasons, the entrance had been closed and the construction site fenced off. During this time, therefore, magistrates, lawyers, administrative staff, law enforcement, witnesses, defendants, and anyone else who had to go to court or prosecutor’s office entered through the driveway on Corso Antonio Gramsci.
