Marinella di Selinunte femicide: Process demanded for Ernesto Favara, victim’s husband

The Marsala prosecutor’s office has closed the investigation into the murder of Maria Amatuzzo, who was killed on December 24th of last year by her husband Ernesto Favara in Marinella di Selinunte, a seaside village in Castelvetrano. The public prosecutor, Stefania Tredici, has filed a request for trial with the judge’s office and the hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 8th. Favara is represented by lawyers Margherita Barraco and Valentina Blunda, while the victim’s family members are represented by lawyer Vito Daniele Cimotta. On Christmas Eve last year, Favara killed his wife with 28 stabs, while the victim was inside their garage in Marinella di Selinunte. Currently, Ernesto Favara is detained in Trapani prison.
