Man refuses to pay for drugs, threatened for two years, dog killed – 2 arrests in Niscemi
An individual in Gela refused to pay for a dose of drugs and was subsequently harassed and threatened for two years by two brothers, both already known to the authorities, until they hanged and killed his dog. It emerged from the investigations that in 2021 the 22-year-old man had bought a dose of drugs but had not paid for it. At that point, the two brothers, aged 24 and 22, began threatening him with continuous phone messages and one day even beat him up and robbed him of his phone. The most serious incident occurred in March 2023 when the two decided to take revenge by killing the dog, hanging it from a tree. The carabinieri, at the end of the investigations, arrested the two brothers on charges of illegal possession of drugs for trafficking purposes, attempted extortion, threats and violence, killing of animals, and robbery. They were placed under house arrest pending judicial proceedings.
