Man attacks two agents at Palio dei Normanni while confined in secure area

In Piazza Armerina, an man wanted to get close to the Palio dei Normanni event so badly that he ignored the security measures implemented by the police. He repeatedly tried to enter an area where the public was not allowed, despite being warned multiple times. The situation escalated when he physically attacked two officers, punching one of them. The man, from Barrafranca, had attended the historical costume event with his family. What was supposed to be a fun outing ended with him being reported to the authorities. The injured officers received medical treatment from emergency personnel.
