Mafia: ANSA exhibition on Falcone and Borsellino stops in Gela

(ANSA) – PALERMO, NOVEMBER 25 – ANSA’s traveling exhibition entitled “The legacy of Falcone and Borsellino” was inaugurated in Gela at the “San Francesco” comprehensive school. These are 14 didactic posters and a documentary film that recall over time the figures of the two magistrates killed by the mafia, their friendship, their extraordinary professional commitment, their extreme sacrifice and that of their escorts. The headmaster, Maria Lina La China, the journalist, Franco Infurna, the magistrate, Luigi Lo Valvo, of the Gelese Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the president of Banca Sicana and the Sicana Foundation of Caltanissetta, Giuseppe Di Forti, sponsor of the exhibition and event.

The initiative is part of the “Law and Legality” school project that the students of “San Francesco” are carrying out with research, meetings and debates. The program also included the exhibition, for today’s morning only, of the relic (the blood-soaked shirt) of the boy-judge, Rosario Livatino, killed in a mafia ambush in September 1990 on the Caltanissetta-Agrigento road.

The ANSA exhibition will remain open until 7 December and will be visited by many school groups from the city who have requested it. .
