Mafia and contracts, three entrepreneurs acquitted on appeal in Palermo
The fact does not exist. For this Pietro Bordonaro, one of the owners of the quarries of the precious Billiemi marble, and the builders Eugenio Avellino and Filippo Chiazzese they were acquitted by the third section of the Palermo Court of Appeal.
They were accused of external competition in the mafia association (Bordonaro and Avellino) and of fictitious registration of assets (Chiazzese). The original investigation, coordinated by the current attorney general Roberto Scarpinato, was one of the strands of the Mafia and contracts, on entrepreneurship adjacent to Cosa Nostra. Bordonaro on April 5, 2016 had been 8 years and 6 months, Avellino 6 years and 8 months and Chiazzese, believed to be the figurehead of Francesco Paolo and Francesco Sbeglia, 5 years.
