Franco Luca, a 70-year-old man from Lipari, has died after being seriously injured in a boat collision off the port of Pignataro. Luca and a friend were fishing when a sailing boat crashed into their boat. Luca was severely injured, and his friend called for urgent medical assistance. Luca was transferred to a hospital in Catania where he underwent surgery, but unfortunately, he did not survive.
