Licata incident: scooter crashes into fair stage, two severely injured

Another road accident occurred in Licata: a young man riding a scooter lost control of the vehicle and crashed along with his passenger into a stage near Piazza Progresso, which was set up for the Sant’Angelo fair. The impact, which occurred last night, was very violent. Both young men, aged 25 and 30 and from Palma di Montechiaro, were assisted by nearby shop owners who alerted emergency services. Two ambulances quickly arrived at the scene, and medical staff provided initial treatment before transporting them to Licata hospital in critical condition. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were later transferred by helicopter to Cannizzaro hospital in Catania and Villa Sofia hospital in Palermo. Police also arrived at the accident location, cordoned off the area, and conducted investigations to determine the exact dynamics of the accident.
