Levanzo, fences and signage stolen on the Faraglioni road.
#Trapani
The barriers and signage that were placed at the entrance of the road to the Faraglioni of Levanzo last Friday have been stolen. The road has been closed for two years due to the danger of falling rocks. “It is an unfortunate incident,” says Mayor Francesco Forgione. “Since 2021, the signage has been removed multiple times by unknown individuals. Each time, we have replaced the signs. After the latest incident, we had decided to also install barriers to prevent access to the road. It was a choice made to protect the safety of residents and tourists. However, less than forty-eight hours later on Sunday, unknown individuals removed everything once again. It is a reckless act. We have reported the incident to the carabinieri. As far as our responsibility goes, we will once again install the access restriction signs and danger signs, as prescribed by the ordinance of April 23, 2021. We rely on everyone’s sense of responsibility.”
