World champion kickboxer Gloria Peritore, originally from Licata but now living in Rome, is on vacation in her native Sicily. She has been sharing photos of the beautiful scenery on social media, as she relaxes on the cliffs of Punta Bianca in Agrigento. Peritore expresses her love for her homeland, saying she is happy to have found Licata even more beautiful than usual. She started playing sports at the age of nine, beginning with handball in Licata. She then moved on to kickboxing after relocating to Florence for her studies. In 2013, she made her professional debut and has since participated in several international fights, competing in prestigious events such as Bellator, Oktagon, and K1GP. In August 2020, she achieved a major milestone by winning the ISKA World Flyweight Championship against French fighter Ludivine Lasnier. In addition, last year Peritore also won the WKU World Championship in the -55kg category against Greek fighter Mariza Kor. In January, she made her professional boxing debut, with her first match taking place in March at the Milan Boxing Night.
