Judge’s video at Catania protest: Green Party leader submits complaint to Rome prosecutor

The leader of the Greens and deputy of AVS, Angelo Bonelli, has filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office regarding the video of Judge Iolanda Apostolico from Catania, which was spread by Minister Salvini on social media. He requests an investigation into whether there has been a violation of article 326 of the penal code and for the prosecution of those responsible for any crimes revealed in the video. Bonelli expresses concern over the gravity of the situation if the video is confirmed to have originated from the police. He questions how it is possible to identify a person in a video from five years ago, as well as the potential misuse of data from citizens who have participated in demonstrations. Bonelli emphasizes a disapproval for the use of confidential state documents for political confrontations. He adds that if the video is indeed from the police, it would be an unprecedented act of gravity.
