With several hours of delay with respect to the fixed time due to rain, this afternoon the matches of the qualifying board of the VII International Itf Junior Tournament grade 3 men and women Città di Palermo concluded. On the clay courts of the Palermo coach Daniel Bagnolini landed on the men’s main draw, overtaking in two sets the Syracusan Sebastiano Cocola, Gianluca Cadenasso, the Forlì Lorenzo Angelini and Giuseppe Corsaro. On the other hand, the Palermitan of TC2 Chiara Davì qualifies for the female main draw, who wins in two partial on the bell Sara Milanese, the first seed of the cadet board Emma Rizzetto, Elettra Gradassi and Samira De Stefano, the latter victorious at the expense of Messina coach of Vela Fabrizia Cambria. Tuesday 7 September, starting at 9, off to the meetings of the main draw. First favorite of male seeding was Mariano Tammaro semifinalist from Campania last year. Lorenzo Ferri, from Turin of the Piatti Team, follows the path of the Italian under 16 champion Lorenzo Carboni. The Palermo qualified Chiara Davì will find the American wild card Caterina Grant on the other side of the net. Gaia Greco, also from Palermo, will have to contend with the transalpine Clara Cwajgembaum. The Italian under 16 champion, the Tuscan Viola Turini, will instead challenge the Slovak Nikola Daubernova. Also tomorrow (Tuesday) the doubles will also start. The tournament will end on Saturday 11 September with the dispute of the two finals.
