“Invisibili” by Biondo wins Prix de la Critique in France with theater, music, and dance performance.

The show “Invisibles” by Aurélien Bory, produced by the Teatro Biondo in Palermo and Compagnie 111 in collaboration with Fondazione Tpe – Teatro Piemonte Europa, has won the Prix de la Critique 2023-2024 as the best performance of the season. This prestigious award, given by the Syndicat professionnel de la Critique théâtre, musique et danse (Professional Union of Theater, Music and Dance Critics), comes as a culmination of a long and acclaimed tour in France, which began last January at the Théâtre de la Ville – Les Abbesses in Paris, after the world premiere at the Biondo in Palermo.

“Invisibles”, commissioned by the Teatro Biondo and directed by Pamela Villoresi, is a multidisciplinary show of theater, music, and dance that, starting from the Triumph of Death at Palazzo Abatellis and other inspirations linked to the city of Palermo, offers a poetic journey on the function of art, as well as a profound exploration of contemporary issues, relationships, identity, and complexity. On stage are Sicilian dancers Blanca Lo Verde, Maria Stella Pitarresi, Arabella Scalisi, Valeria Zampardi, and musicians Gianni Gebbia and Chris Obehi.
