A three-month-old baby girl has died in her crib in Guardia Mangano, a suburb of Acireale. The police in Acireale are currently investigating the case, and the apartment of the young couple has been seized. The baby’s body has also been taken by the authorities to the Policlinico in Catania for an autopsy. The baby arrived already deceased at the emergency room of the Santa Marta and Santa Venera Hospital in Acireale, and initial findings have not revealed any signs of abuse on her body. The most likely hypothesis at the moment is that it could be a case of sudden death.
